WORKSHEET # 3, Pack Library
DUE: September 15, 1998
Primary source materials are
generally considered to be original documents which include such items as speeches,
novels, diaries, legislative bills, field research reports, eyewitness accounts,
laboratory studies, oral histories, photographs, etc. Primary source materials are not
necessarily any more reliable than secondary sources, and for that reason, they should be
critically evaluated for bias as closely as any other source.
Our exploration of Pack Library will focus on primary source materials. This exercise is planned to give you an understanding of those materials and their importance to the research process.
