the Asheville Art Museum and complete questions 1-4 in the museum. Special tickets to the Asheville Art Museum are
available to UNCA students for $1.00 should you wish to go back to the museum. You may purchase these tickets 10am 4pm,
Monday Friday in HC #27.

Compare Robert Duncansons urban vision with that seen in the paintings in the exhibit The City: Urban Visions 1900-1940? Is Duncansons painting an example of social realism? If so why? If not, why? Suggestion: You may choose to limit your comparison to specific works in the exhibit or focus on the issue of the social realist versus the romantic. What were the sources of Duncansons frame of mind, in other words, what historical and social elements were at work during the time he was painting? (1 page)
