Things to check before you ask your question
Library Catalog
Did you look in the library catalog for books
on your topic?
The library catalog includes books, media, and government publications held by UNCA,
Appalachian State University, and Western Carolina University. The library catalog does not
include journal articles. It will, however, tell you what volumes we have for a specific
journal, magazine, or newspaper.
Electronic Resources
Did you check our list of Electronic Resources by
subject?
If you need a journal, magazine, or newspaper article, choose a subject category, then
select an index to search. The subject categories include reference databases and other
resources as well as periodical indexes.
UNCA students, faculty, and staff, and Asheville Graduate Center students
may now access any of our subscription resources or NC LIVE from off-campus.
To do this, you must access these
resources through the Western North
Carolina Library Network (WNCLN) proxy server. If you have difficulty, call the Reference Desk at 251-6111.
