Asheville Bookworks Exhibit

Asheville is a hub for book arts, and at the center of the hub is Asheville BookWorks. Some of the most talented book and print artists from Asheville and across the nation teach and take classes, participate in exhibits and lectures, and celebrate at annual events at BookWorks. This exhibit highlights BookWorks as a resource for seasoned artists and newcomers alike and celebrates the artists who create, teach and learn at BookWorks.

The exhibit includes work by Dan Essig, Andy Farkas, Jessica White, Gwen Deihn, and Heather Allen-Swarttouw, amongst many others, in the mediums of bookbinding, papermaking, printmaking, letterpress and extended processes such as sculptural books, journals, and one-of kind art books.

Don’t miss the gallery talk! Laurie Corral, director of Asheville BookWorks, and Frank Brannon of SpeakEasy Press, will talk about book arts and give an introduction to BookWorks.
