Services

The main floor is sometimes called the "entrance level."
Public Services such as Circulation, Reference, and Interlibrary Loan are here.

Collections

Current periodicals, newspapers, reference books, print indexes, bound periodicals, and government documents are on the main floor. Most of the items in the federal and state documents collections may be checked out. The other collections on the main floor are for use in the library.

Library Research Instructors

The door to offices for most of the Library Research 101/102 instructors is near the "C's" in the Reference Collection. You can also walk through the room directly behind the Research Support Desk to get to them.

Whitman Room

The Whitman Room is used for meetings in which multimedia equipment and/or Internet access is required for presentations.This room has space for an audience of 60. Instructors who wish to schedule this room for a class should contact Rudy Moorrees at extension 6995 or email rudy@unca.edu.

Red Oak Conference Room

This room is often used to host meetings with visitors to the UNCA campus, working meetings of Western North Carolina Library Network committees, and receptions. It is well-suited to this purpose, with much natural light, wood paneling, a large conference table, and comfortable chairs.
