About Ramsey LibraryRamsey Library Circulation Department
The circulation staff at Ramsey Library is happy to provide information about using and borrowing library materials from Ramsey Library as well as from other libraries. The circulation desk is the grand central station of the library and is the first public service area you will encounter upon entering the building. It is our goal to make our library resources readily available for loan and library use to the greatest number of users. We want you to have a productive and pleasant library visit. Feel free to ask us about any of these services that we provide: Anyone may use materials within the library, including the online library catalog and electronic resources. Materials may be checked out of the library with a valid (current) UNCA, WCU, or ASU identification card, a North Carolina Center for Creative Retirement (NCCCR) ID, a Friends of the Library card, or a cooperative borrowers card from selected area colleges. Ramsey Library may not release the names or ID numbers of users who have library materials. The loan period for general collection books is three weeks. Loan periods for other materials vary according to the material typee.g. reserves, periodicals, equipment, etc. Material is due on the date or at the time indicated on the date due slip. A four-day grace period is allowed before fines begin to accrue. Materials returned to a book return must be checked in at the circulation desk by the due date to avoid a fine. Book returns are available outside the library for your convenience and are cleared on a regular basis, usually at least twice daily. While Ramsey Library has a fast and friendly electronic library system, we also strive to be personable, accommodating, and helpful to each and every individual user. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can serve you. Go back to the top | Library main floor map This page maintained by Leith Tate, Access Services Coordinator. Last updated 8/24/05.
